JIM LANE is a lifelong lover and student of movies. He has been a practicing film critic since his college days at California State University Sacramento, where he graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts in 1977. He was also a chief contributor to Mick Martin & Marsha Porter’s annual DVD & Video Guide from 1990 until it ceased publication in 2007. In addition, Jim is a working actor with stage and film experience stretching back more than 55 years. Favorite stage roles include Henry Higgins in both Pygmalion and My Fair Lady, Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey, the Stage Manager in Our Town, Harold Hill in The Music Man, and Big Daddy in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Jim’s screen credits include Clint Eastwood’s Bird (1988) and Wisdom (1986) with Emilio Estevez and Demi Moore.
